Heartland Tour hits Hamilton

Early Monday morning the van headed for Nawton Primary where it was joined by Sue Moroney MP. A stalwart supporter of NZEI Te Rui Roa Sue grabbed a bunch of support staff petition sheets and set about chatting to parents and gathering signatures. It was great to see her there. Later she spent time walking in the shoes of support staff as they went about their daily work, then collected more signatures on postcards for the Minister at Frankton School. Fantastic!

Between times the #Betterfunding van went to the Nawton Mall to initiate conversations with shoppers and then went on to St. Columba Catholic School. On Tuesday the van toured Huntly (report to come) and then returned to the garden city on Wednesday. There were great turn-outs of support at the Melville Schools and at Glenview.
